Insulation offered to people with cold-related illnesses
People who have cold-related illnesses in Derbyshire are being offered help with heating and insulation costs.
Foundations, a body which provides home improvement help to those in need, has joined forced with energy firm npower to offer funding options as part of its Health Through Warmth scheme.
The help is available to those which have a cold-related illness, live on a low income with little or no savings and do not currently work.
Lauren Sadler, communications and policy manager at Foundations, said: "We would encourage anyone who has a cold-related illness which they believe is made worse by cold conditions in their home to contact Foundations to see if they are eligible for help".
More than 80,000 people in England and Wales have received help from the Health Through Warmth scheme since it launched 13 years ago. During that time works costing more than £68.3 million have been completed.
