Leeds residents urged to apply for loft and wall insulation
Homeowners in West Yorkshire have just over two weeks left to apply for free thermal insulation from the Wrap Up Leeds scheme.
Backed by the Leeds City Council, the initiative - which offers cavity wall and loft insulation - will come to an end on October 26th after providing around 8,000 homes with energy-efficient fixtures over the last few months since it began in January.
Councillor Mark Dobson, executive member for the environment, commented that time is running out for anyone who has not taken advantage of the "fantastic offer".
He said: "The chance to benefit from completely free cavity wall or loft insulation will be coming to end not just with Wrap Up Leeds, but nationally when these types of offer will be replaced by the Green Deal."
Since its launch at the beginning of the month, the Green Deal is providing families with the chance to have their properties looked at for potential energy-saving improvements.
It is important for householders to get in contact with the Wrap Up Leeds team as soon as possible, so they do not miss out on the opportunity to receive the thermal insulation and save hundreds on their energy bills.
