NAPIT welcomes Green Deal Cashback scheme
The National Association of Professional Inspectors and Testers (NAPIT) has praised the government's Green Deal Cashback scheme.
Due to be rolled out on January 28th - when the Green Deal work will begin - the Cashback programme is going to provide homeowners with funding packages worth up to £1,000.
Andy Sharp, NAPIT's sales and marketing director, said the incentives are likely to generate more confidence in the Green Deal for both UK householders and businesses.
He added: "We encourage all our registered installers to take note of initiatives like this and seize the opportunity to make the most of the early rush they could create when the Green Deal kicks off in January."
The government cashback pot was recently announced by energy secretary Ed Davey, who revealed the Department of Energy and Climate Change will offer £125 million in total across the scheme.
According to NAPIT, the Cashback deal should boost consumer awareness in authorised installers and assessors and companies could use it to kick-start their organisations.
